David the Deacon

Today I took a huge step in my spiritual journey. I was elected to serve as a deacon for First Christian Church of Livingston, Tennessee. I’ve never been any kind of official leadership role in a church before. I’ve never had a problem with leading services or teaching classes in church but being a deacon somehow makes my leadership more official.

God has really blessed my life over the past year or so. I have a wonderful wife who has made all the difference in the world. I am in a great small town with a great church. My business is picking up and starting to prosper. Somehow I feel that being a deacon is what God wants in return. I will strive to do my best to serve Him and His church.
